This pocket card is for skip loader operators. RIDDOR statistics indicate that there is a lack of competence in safe practices and there is no other specific guidance available. Key target audience is the waste industry, where there is an estimated 20,000 vehicles. Research has been commissioned, but following 5 fatal accidents in the past 12 months, it was felt there is an immediate need for some simple operator guidance.
