Abstract This revision brings the guidance up to date with changes in health and safety law and new developments in relation to equipment, facilities and supervision arrangements. It provides guidance for those who have any involvement with operation and management of health and safety in swimming pools: primarily pool owners (including local authority clients), pool operators (including managment contractors), architects, engineers, designers, manufacturers and constructors. Aspects of this guidance will also apply to pool hirers.
