| Abstract |
This information sheet has been produced by the Printing Industry Advisory Committee (PIAC) in response to concerns about the large number of accidents that continue to occur during the operation and maintenance of printing processes. It deals primarily with safety issues. It provides guidance for employers and supervisors on suitable defined safe systems of work appropriate for various cleaning and maintenance tasks on printing presses used in the flexograph and gravure processes, including roll label presses. Employees will also it useful.
