| Abstract |
This is a video package comprising a video and further reading. The video demonstrates the effect of how compressed air and an added oxygen content will act on various materials commonly found in tunnels. It emphasises how important it is to prevent fires starting, to wear correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and to maintain good standards of housekeeping and site safety practice. The video was commissioned by HSE's Technology Division and includes notes which can be used as part of a training programme for those working in compressed air in compliance with regulation 15 of the Work in Compressed Air Regulations 1996. |
