| Abstract |
This publication draws attention to the possible health risks which could result from exposure to laboratory animal allergens. It gives advice on the precautions which may need to be taken to prevent or adequately control exposure as required by COSHH. It also deals with duties under the management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations, specifically the need to co-operate and co-ordinate where different employers share a workplace. It does not deal with other safety issues associated with work with laboratory animals, for example management of infection risks.
