| Abstract |
This leaflet covers the safe working practices to be followed when operating front-, rear- or arm-mounted flails and mulchers in forestry and other tree work. The flail or mulcher may be part of a purpose-built machine or mounted on and powered by a tractor, excavator or other suitable base vehicle. Can be used along with the machine and base vehicle manufacturer's handbooks, as part of the risk assessment process.
