This guidance supplements the general HSE guidance 'Buying new machinery, INDG271' and 'Safe use of work equipment, ISBN 0717616266'. It is aimed specifically at equipment purchasers in the food and drink industries. It will also be relevant to manufacturers and suppliers of such equipment.
