| Abstract |
Presents the results of the inquiry into the accident South of Chorleywood station on the Metropolitan line of London Underground Ltd. on 16 May 1990 when four men were knocked down and killed by a runaway wagon. The accident occurred at approximately 02 09 when a trailer wagon that had been detached from a tamping machine and left inadequately secured in Chorleywood Station Southbound platform, ran away down the falling gradient striking the men and colliding with the tamping machine. |
